This course is aimed at Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) staff and partners who support systems strengthening. It introduces the concept of system mapping and strengthening through the video-based part of the course with practical experimentation during the face-to-face workshop.
The Thinking and Working in Systems course is structured around the systems strengthening process (Listen, Engage, Discover, Adapt) and draws heavily upon the 5 Rs Framework (Roles, Relationships, Rules, Resources and Results) to support systems analysis, systems strengthening intervention design, and adaptation.
The course also explains in detail how to develop and analyse system maps using Root Change’s Pando platform. It explains the importance of feedback and provides tips on how to structure a Systems Dialogue Workshop.
