Take a walk – and a bike ride – through the neighbourhood of Tabaqueira in the city of Sintra in Portugal! Here, the Aga Khan Foundation is working together with community members to reduce carbon emissions through a series of innovative, locally driven, co-created solutions. One of these is TabLab, a living decarbonisation lab, which you can experience in this 360° video.
The SMILE – Sintra Motion & Innovation for Low Emissions – living laboratory was implemented by the Aga Khan Foundation(AKF) in partnership with Sintra Municipality, IrRADIARE, CARD4B, Innovation Point, DST Solar, Watt-IS, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL) and International Development Norway, funded by the EEA Grants mechanism and fully supported by Rio de Mouro Parish. In the video have participated the following partner organisations and informal groups: the Centro Social de Reformados e Idosos de Albarraque, the Estrutura Residencial para Pessoas Idosas (ERPI) da Aldeia de Santa Isabel (SCML), the Pedalar Sem Idade and the informal group Dress a Girl around the world – Sintra.
