The Business Model Canvas is a simple tool developed by Strategyzer (https://www.strategyzer.com/) that helps entrepreneurs visualise their future business. It makes it easier for entrepreneurs to ask and answer key questions about their company’s products and services, customers, partners, pricing, resources – all the things they need to plan for as they set up their own company!
The course aims to help entrepreneurs create economically sound enterprises. By the time they have completed the course, entrepreneurs will be able to accurately describe the purpose of the Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition Canvas, and to create a Business Model Canvas and a Value Proposition Canvas for their own business. They will also be able to re-strategise for their enterprise using a business model lens and to articulate their business model using their complete Business Model Canvas.
In this video-portion of the Business Model Canvas course, entrepreneurs get all the information they need to create a Business Model Canvas for their business. Then, in the face-to-face portion of the course, they get to put into practice what they learn in the videos.
This course was designed for established or aspiring entrepreneurs in the countries where the Aga Khan Development Network works. The course draws heavily on the experiences of Accelerate Prosperity, a joint initiative of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development and the Aga Khan Foundation, that supports and builds the capacity of entrepreneurs in Pakistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
