Climate Solution Series: Can regenerative farming restore land, support livelihoods and build climate resilience?

Description

This webinar, hosted by the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) on the 4th of June 2024 and aligned with the World Environment Day 2024 theme “land restoration, desertification and drought resilience” explored the role of regenerative farming in restoring degraded land and strengthening the resilience of farmers and the environment to climate change.

Two speakers from AKF, including a Green Champion working directly with farmers, and a speaker from the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), shared insights, experiences and practical examples around what role regenerative farming can play in addressing the complex interlinkages between farming, land degradation and climate change.

The webinar was the first instalment of AKF’s new Climate Solutions Series that spotlights innovations, advancements and best practices that are addressing climate change and creating positive impacts for people around the world.
