Domestic ash and grey water

This free training video in English was developed to help farmers and development practitioners in East Africa learn how to re-use domestic ash and grey water, generated daily by households, to fertilise crops.

By the time they complete the video, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the advantages of re-using domestic ash and grey water as natural fertiliser for crops.
  • Describe the process of collecting and applying domestic ash and grey water to crops.

This video is also available in English and Swahili.

This short training video was developed by the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF). The video was produced as part of AKF’s climate resilience and regenerative farming programmes.
