Climate Adaptation Stories: The Zanatany System in Madagascar
Meet Fanjatena, a rice farmer in Madagascar. In this video, she shares how the Zanatany System of rice cultivation – a revolutionary way of growing rice that was co-developed by the Organisation de Soutien pour le Développement Rural au Madagascar (OSDRM), an affiliate of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), and local farmers. This approach applies regenerative farming principles and is helping Fanjatena and her community enhance food security, adapt to climate change, and improve their quality of life.
This video was developed by the Aga Khan Foundation and the Organisation de Soutien pour le Développement Rural à Madagascar as part of their climate resilience programme.
