INTESYS: Towards Integrated Early Childhood Systems‑ Toolkit
The INTESYS consortium partners developed the Toolbox with the aim of promoting integration between different sectors (education, health, social protection, among others) by connecting professionals and services that serve the same children, families and their communities. The approach contemplates the participation of communities, parents, children and civil society actors in the design of service integration.
It was developed from the analysis of evidence base, existing experiences and promising practices in Europe, contributing to:
– unpack and clarify the complexity of the concept (and reality) of integration of services / systems / sectors;
– propose paths and practices for integration, with an approach to the process and possible steps to be taken, with critical resources and processes at each stage, and a set of tools adaptable to the contexts and needs and interests of the services;
– propose a framework for the integration of services, with basic values and principles, with key factors that support implementation, and with identification of quality practices that support integration.
