Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century. The main cause of climate change over recent decades have been greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from human activities, such as burning fossil fuels.
In a major step toward tackling climate change, the agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) are working to measure and reduce GHG emissions from their operations.
This video course on Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management provides the tools and information to enable AKDN Agencies to identify the main sources of their emissions, measure and report these emissions and take actions to reduce them. It is primarily aimed at nominated GHG Focal Points from AKDN Agencies. However, the videos can also provide useful background to all AKDN staff. Everyone has a role to play in reducing our emissions.
Managing AKDN’s GHG emissions is an essential step towards the transition to low-carbon operations for our Agencies and Institutions.
