In Gujarat, India, farmers confront the harsh realities of climate change, from erratic droughts to unseasonal rainfall and declining water tables. The Drip Irrigation Programme, implemented across four districts of Gujarat from 2015 to 2023, provided crucial support to 9,396 farmers, facilitating the adoption of drip irrigation across 20,000 acres of farmland. This initiative has bolstered farmers’ resilience against climate change, leading to enhanced crop yields, improved soil health, and increased farmer incomes.

ભારતના ગુજરાત રાજ્યના ખેડૂતો વાતાવરણ ફેરફાર (ક્લીમેટ ચેન્જ)ની વિપરીત અસરો જેવી કે વારંવાર દુષ્કાળ, કમોસમી વરસાદ તથા જમીનના તળમાં પાણીનું સ્તર નીચું જવું જેવી સમસ્યાઓનો સામનો કરી રહ્યા છે. ડ્રીપ ઈર્રીગેશન પ્રોજેક્ટ ગુજરાતના ૪ જીલ્લામાં ૨૦૧૫થી ૨૦૨૩ સુધી કાર્યરત છે જે અંતર્ગત ૯૨૯૬ ખેડૂતો તથા ૨૦,૦૦૦ એકર જમીનમાં ખેડૂતને ટપક સિંચાઈ પદ્ધતિનો લાભ મળેલ છે. ડ્રીપ ઈરીગેશનની પહેલથી ખેડૂતોને વાતાવરણ બદલાવ સામે પ્રતિરોધક ટેકો મળેલ છે. ડ્રીપ ઈર્રીગેશનથી ઉત્પાદનમાં વધારો, જમીનની ગુણવત્તામાં સુધારો અને આવકમાં વધારો થયેલ છે
