Amélioration de la santé reproductive, maternelle et néonatale à Mwanza, Tanzanie - Photobook

Countries in Sub-saharan Africa suffer from the highest maternal mortality ratio, with over two-thirds of all the maternal deaths per year worldwide (World Health Organization).

To address this issue, the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) has been implementing the Improving Reproductive Maternal and Newborn Health (Impact) Project, which has reached close to 700,000 women in Tanzania since inception. In addition, 100,000 infants have been helped and 300,000 men (and fathers) have been engaged as active participants in maternal and newborn care outcomes.
