Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
LO1 Explain the importance of community engagement and approaches for introducing an initiative to a community
LO2 Describe community and stakeholder mapping and their role in identifying community actors, resources, relationships, and priorities.
LO3 Explain the principles and advantages of participatory approaches, including PRA-inspired methodologies.
LO4 Identify appropriate methods for involving communities in planning and decision-making.
LO5 Describe how focus group discussions and prototyping can be used to gather community perspectives and develop solutions collaboratively.
LO6 Explain the importance of two-way feedback loops and identify appropriate methods and tools for maintaining dialogue with communities
LO7 Describe techniques for facilitating inclusive and productive community meetings.
LO8 Explain how surveys, 360-degree reviews, and other feedback approaches can enable communities to evaluate programme and organisational performance.
