Creating an Inclusive Organisational Culture
This course provides an overview of the Aga Khan Foundation’s commitment to creating an inclusive organisational culture. It is designed for all AKF staff.
By the time they have completed the course, learners will be able to:
- Describe why pluralism and diversity and inclusion are key values at AKF;
- Explain key terms, including pluralism, diversity, equity and inclusion, unconscious bias, and safeguarding;
- List at least three examples of how unconscious bias is commonly exhibited in the workplace;
- List at least one way staff can mitigate unconscious bias in the areas of recruiting and hiring, team dynamics, career development, communication, and programming and partner engagement; and
- Understand their role in recognising unconscious bias and acting as an ally to colleagues who are experiencing it.
