Gender Equality Marker: A Tool for AKF

The Aga Khan Foundation has a tool that helps us to track and report on gender equality and women and girls’ empowerment in our projects, the Gender Equality Marker (GEM). In this short course for AKF employees you will gain an understanding of the purpose of the Gender Equality Marker tool. You will learn when in the project cycle the tool is used and gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the different units and staff in applying the GEM. You will also become familiar with the three steps in applying the tool.
